Dr Nittin Henry tirelessly strives for the improvement of blood safety and thereby providing the safest transfusions to the patients. His passion for knowledge and innovation in the field of blood banking led him to join MVRCCRI as a consultant. Dr Nittin Henry tries to maintain strong ties with the community through frequent interactions and lectures thereby strengthening voluntary door pool in the institute.

At the heart of Dr Nittin Henry’s practice is a passionate advocacy for the advancement of medical research in the field of blood banking. Being one among the initial few specialists in the field of transfusion medicine he counts as one of the best transfusion specialist Kerala has to offer. Being an advocate for radical changes in the field of transfusion medicine, he is expected to take the blood banking services in Calicut strides ahead.

Dr Nittin Henry believes a strong repeat voluntary donor pool along with latest technology is essential for improving the blood safety. As a consultant of Department of Transfusion Medicine, MVRCCRI, Dr Nittin Henry has made it a personal goal to deliver compassionate yet state of art care in a healing environment.

The MVRCCRI, set up by the Care Foundation initiated by Calicut City Service Cooperative Bank, is situated on 17 acre property at Vellalaserri in Kozhikode district with 300 bed strength spread over six lakhs square feet area. The Centre is named after the late CMP leader M. V. Raghavan. Inaugurated on January 17 2017, both the OP and IP departments are functional from January 18 2017. The Hospital established at a cost of INR 350 Crore has spent INR 150 crore for acquiring the latest Equipment.
